The self-funded course was held over two consecutive long weekends 3-5 August and the 11-12 of August so as to facilitate the needs of juniors and seniors availability. Last month saw the 9th instalment of the Micronesian Games taking place in Yap from the 15-27 July. With 13 sports comprising the Games’ action there was something for everyone. Medals were awarded in sports ranging from baseball to spearfishing, with table tennis among the field. Wallis and Futuna hosted ten days of intense table tennis last month as the nation continues to take up the sport at a rapid rate. Alize Belrose, Technical Director of the Tahiti Table Tennis Federation spearheaded the program, which involved a five day ITTF-PTT Level 1 Coaching Course Course from 17-21 July followed by a five day National Hopes Week from 22-26 July.
